Punch list to move-in

Post-Construction Cleaning

Dust, debris, stickers and residue cleared from vents to windows before you move in.

Drywall dust does not stay where it lands

A finished build looks clean from the doorway and is not. Drywall and sanding dust settles on light fixtures, outlet covers and the tops of door frames, then rides the air handler into every vent and duct. Window stickers bake onto the glass, paint and adhesive leave residue, and a thin film of grit sits in the carpet. Skip the detail pass and the first week of occupancy turns into wiping it all off.

Rushed jobs miss the places nobody looks until a tenant does. Washrooms and kitchens come out of construction with dried mortar splashes and caulk smears, new appliances still carry protective film and fingerprints, and ceilings and walls hold a gray haze. That is what a general contractor hears about at the walkthrough, and it is what a handover day in Pineville, Alexandria or Lafayette should never have to explain.

Shop vacs first, then the checklist line by line

TNT starts with heavy-duty shop vacs, because an ordinary vacuum chokes on construction debris. Dirt, dust and debris come off the floors, ledges and sills first, so nothing gets pushed around while the finer work happens above it. Trash removal closes the job, so the space is not left with a pile of packaging and offcuts for someone else to haul out.

Then the checklist. Washrooms, kitchens and appliances are sanitized. Light fixtures and outlets are wiped, vents and ductwork are cleaned, and windows lose their stickers and residue. Carpets are steam cleaned where they need it, and ceilings and walls get their turn. TNT brings professional-grade products and equipment, so the contractor never has to stock a cleaning closet.

The checklist is customizable. If the build is a clinic suite, a bank branch or a classroom wing, the list bends to what that space needs before move-in. Crews are trained, screened, bonded and insured, and they are TNT's own staff rather than independent contractors, so the same trained people show up from one job to the next.

Booking the clean around the handover date

Post-construction cleaning is usually one time, but it rarely stands alone. Some clients book a rough clean as the trades finish and a final detail clean just before the keys change hands. Others add weekly or monthly janitorial service once the doors open. TNT works to your timeline, whether that is a single visit against a tight Friday deadline or a repeating schedule.

Call (318) 880-1199 for a free, no-obligation estimate. You get a full breakdown of projected material and labor costs, priced to your budget, so there are no surprises after the walkthrough. If the schedule slips, as construction schedules do, reschedule at least three business days ahead and the crew moves to the new date. A job in any of the three cities gets the same checklist.
